Earlier the classroom for Std. VI th was held in a separate row of class rooms little away from the main building and at the end of the school ground. Presently the construction of the new rooms has closed the broad entry of the playground on the west of school reducing the size of premise.

The Library of the school where age old books like 'Purnachandra Bhasa kosa', Books on castes and tribes and books donated by the then maharajahs are preserved. Lack of furnitures and dilapidated building conditions deteriorates these old books day by day.

A brief History by the then HM Ramesh Ch Rath

In the year 1962 It was Board High Scool then on 01.06-1964 It came out as Govt High School .Till 1989-1990 It was Boys high school then Co education started but girls enrolled from the year 2005.

The school is going to celebrate its centenary for three days from 8th October-10th October. A gate made on the main entrance.

The school waqs functioning on the main road (the present girls high school)

In 1962 the Govt Boys High school was shifted to tghe new bldg at Sombar Tota and Girls High school functioned on the main Road.

Started as a lower Primary Schhol in the Year 1886 and functioned on the main road Jeypore ,the school was Upgraded as a High School in the year 1910 and the first batch appeared their SSLC examionations(11th Class) in 1915. When Utkal University Opened in the year 1945, the school was then under the University . Till 1958 it was under the Dist Board and became a fully aided Govt High School 1958-1964.

A preparatory meeting for Centenary Celabration of Govt.Boys High School, Jeypore was held at the chamber of Paresh Rath, Journalist, chaired by Headmaster Shri . The members present were- Bizy, Ramesh, Kamala Krushna, Prakash patnaik.

The function will be held for thre days from 8th to 10th October at Jeypore
